Inner Sydney Fox Den Fumigation

Unbeknown to most residents, metropolitan and suburban areas are home to a large number of Foxes that spend their nights prowling the streets feasting on garbage, left over pet food, and native animals like the beloved possum.

During the spring especially, fumigating fox dens is an important part of an ongoing fox management program to help reduce the numbers of new young foxes being introduced into the city. The Feral Whisperer uses Den-Co-Fume, Carbon Monoxide fumigants to achieve a very effective and humane solution.

Lake Illawarra's 'Torpedo Pig' killed by trapping program

A lone pig had been causing significant damage to land and vegetation along the shores of Lake Illawarra, and at one stage swam across an 800m stretch of water to attack a man with his two dogs. Due to his aquatic escapades the feral pig earned the name 'Torpedo' from local residents.

The Feral Whisperer was called in and after careful examination of the site, built a trap to capture the animal. Torpedo was successfully trapped and euthanised on the site by way of firearm. His remains have been donated to a local zoo to feed the big cats.

Brazen Fox found napping on sub-urbanite's veranda.

A cunning fox had made it's way from a nearby nature reserve to the chicken coops of a sub-urban family home where it wreaked havoc, killing many chickens for sport.

The resident managed to snap this photo of the intruder after the bloodbath as the fox awoke from a nap on his sun drenched veranda.

The Feral Whisperer was called in and successfully captured the offending pest in a soft-catch leg hold trap. The fox was then euthanised on site by way of suppressed firearm and removed from the environment.

Destructive Cockatoos humanely culled

A mob of Cockatoos had systematically been destroying the exterior of a block of units in a inner city suburb, managing to do over $100,000 worth of damages to the structure. This photo shows one of the Cockies at work but the damage was far more extensive on the other sides of the building.

The Feral Whisperer was able to solve the problem with some precision shooting after devising a shoot plan and implementing the necessary safety protocols. The operation was conducted safely and effectively in a densely populated area thanks to these control measures.

Sparrow droppings contaminate food preparation area.

Sparrows, pigeons and other small birds that live in the rafters of buildings can pose a serious health and safety problem especially when above food preparation areas. In this instance a number of sparrows were living directly above an area where food was being prepared and their droppings posed a serious health issue.

The Feral Whisperer was able to successfully solve the problem using a state-of-the-art power adjustable pre-charged pneumatic air rifle. This equipment allows for shots to be taken within structures without damaging the building itself.
