Trapping and Baiting
The Feral Whisperer is always prepared to handle the variety of different situations that he is likely to face when confronting a vertebrate pest problem, and will design and implement a complete solution for his clients. Often the best solution requires a bit of patience like an expertly prepared and positioned trap, or well-timed coordination like a 1080 baiting program.

Soft-Catch Leg Hold Traps
Soft-Catch Leg Hold Traps are designed to grasp and hold the leg of a feral pest with rubber pads to capture securely without causing damage to the animal. This allows for the captured animal to either be euthanised on site, relocated or released unharmed. Soft Catch leg hold traps are RSPCA approved and adhere to strict guidelines set out in the NSW Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals Act 1979.
Much care is taken when preparing and setting a soft-catch trap to ensure that a captured animal is protected from the elements and cannot cause harm to itself.

Cage Traps & Custom Builds
Cage traps are excellent for catching animals in sub-urban and urban areas where digging is not feasible. These traps come in a variety of sizes and allow for the safe release or removal of animals from the environment.
The Feral Whisperer is able to custom build larger cage-like traps for feral animals such as ducks, pigs, goats and deer to suit your pest control needs. These custom traps can be scaled up or down depending on the needs of the site chosen or the population of feral pests.
Once trapped, pests can be euthanised on site or removed from the environment for relocation.
1080 Baiting
Sodium fluoroacetate (1080) is a very useful pesticide for the control of declared pest animals and has been used throughout Australia since the early 1960s.
1080 is the most efficient, humane and species-specific pesticide currently available for declared pest animal control in Australia. In NSW, 1080 is registered for use in the control of wild dogs, feral pigs, foxes and rabbits.
1080 is widely used in Australia to protect agricultural production and native flora and fauna from the impacts of pest animals.
